M3E Engineering cc was founded in 1996, by Marius Carstens, who noticed a need in the market for superior mixing products and reliable backup service. Marius obtained a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Cape Technikon in 1989, shortly thereafter embarked on an intensive training program under the guidance and leadership of renowned German mechanical engineers. This training in combination with his determination has resulted in a fine eye for detail and an almost obsessive need for perfection. This drive and passion are reflected in the testimonials of many happy clients and our superior product range.


Back in 2006, a company faced a critical decision about the future of its business. The company’s facilities were outdated, and production was struggling to keep up with customer demands. The company knew it needed to make a bold move to secure its future, but it wasn’t an easy decision.

After careful consideration, the company made the courageous decision to invest a large sum of its money in a brand new facility at the premises they occupy today. It was a daunting prospect, and the risks were high, but the company believed it was the right thing to do.

The construction of the new facility was a massive undertaking, and it took months of hard work to complete. But finally, by the end of the year, the new facility was ready, and the company moved in.

The new facility was a game-changer for the company. It provided the space and resources needed to modernize operations and streamline production. The investment paid off, and the company’s revenue grew significantly.

Looking back, the company’s investment in the new facility was a defining moment in its history. It was a decision that required courage, determination, and a belief in the future. M3e Engineering cc has dedicated many man hours perfecting and developing its own mixer brand, under the registered name MAXMIX.

The company designs, builds and supplies machinery to the food, beverages, paint, ink, chemical and water treatment industries throughout Africa. The company embarked on a vigorous and comprehensive expansive drive and over the following 13 years, under the leadership of Marius has developed a niche in the marketplace. This expansion has not only driven up sales but necessitated the need for bigger premises.

In 2014, the company made a strategic move by acquiring the adjacent vacant plot and initiating a complete redesign of its plant and facilities. The result was a brand new extension of 1400m² that allowed for a more streamlined and efficient operation, and the total facility now spans an impressive 3500m².

The expansion has allowed the company to diversify its operations and product offerings. With the additional space, the company was able to introduce new product lines and expand its manufacturing capabilities. As a result, the company has been able to better serve its customers and meet their evolving needs with a wider range of high-quality products.

To date the company has supplied industries with over 8000 high-quality and reliable mixers, cementing its reputation as a trusted supplier of top-of-the-line products.
